Found it!

I knew I had a picture of the girls from The Passion Pit (see other post). This pic was taken at Becky's couple shower back in May of 2006. Ladies...not bad! Can you believe we have been out of college for 11 years? My, how time flies...

Until next time...i hope you dance...

Sometimes...

the holidays can be a lonely time, too. Even if you are surrounded by tons of people. I found this poem online and wanted to share it with all of you. Then, I went outside to take out the trash (yes, I do that :-) and saw the beautiful, amazing sunset from our backyard. For those of you who don't know...we have moved to the country. That's another story. Anyhow, I hope you find comfort in the words of Mr. Maguire and these beautiful pictures...

Whenever You Feel Lonely
by Frank Maguire

Whenever you feel lonely
Or whenever you feel blue
And everything just seems
To get you down
Just look around this world of ours
And if you listen too
A smile will soon replace
Your woeful frown

You will see a sky so beautiful
It will take your breath away
When the moon appears
Or the sun is shining proud
As the stars they twinkle endlessly
No matter come what may
And a silver lining
Blankets every cloud

A world of green and wonderment
Will pass before your eyes
Like the sweeping meadows
And the tallest trees
You will also see the flowers
And they will make you realise
Such beauty, as they sway
Among the breeze

When you listen, you will hear the birds
As they sing the sweetest songs
And the children play
With total innocence
You will also hear the word of love
That's been spoken for so long
On a wind that blows
With truth, and no pretence

As you listen to the sea of blue
When it finds its way to shore
As you watch the raindrops
Falling from the sky
If you learn to well appreciate
All these wonders more and more
Then your loneliness
Will surely pass on by.

A Walk Down Memory Lane...

with the girls from the Passion Pit (AKA--C-Ville College Alum. Most of them, anyhow). Gail--thank you so much for sending out that first email! Our paths crossed at Bahama Breeze last evening for some food, fun, and laughter...and laugh we DID!! FCA road trips, scraping brownies out with a paint scraper, cats jumping out the window, and that song NONE of us could think of...no wonder they put us on the other side of the restaurant all by ourselves...hum...Despite the frigid temperature in Bahama Breeze (isn't that an oxy-moron??), our trip down memory lane was delightful and LONG overdue! If only I had taken my camera...darn it! Toni, Wendy, Becky, Amanda, and Lori...we sure did miss you all! Hopefully next time we can all be together--Memorial Day weekend at the Borowick's (possibly).

Until then...keep the emails and comments coming!!

What a wonderful holiday!

Chad and I are so blessed! We have a wonderful family and amazing friends. We began celebrating together on December 17 and haven't stopped! First we started at my Aunt's on December 17 with my dad's side of the family--my 85 year old grandmother was able to join us which made it amazing!

Next...on to my parent's house (December 22) for my mom's side of the family and Savannah's first Christmas at Mimi and Papa's house! Boy were we in for a surprise...Carrington's version of Twas the Night Before Christmas, Christopher's version of Frosty the Snowman and Savannah's first crawl!! So exciting! And litte miss Savannah decided to give us all the best Christmas present in the world--she crawled for the very FIRST time!!

On December 23, we celebrated with the Hoene's, Noll's, Hardin's and Waterfill's at the farm. Family came in from Ohio and Indiana! Rook games, cherry wine, boxing gloves...an a partridge in a pear tree! It was an all day event marked by an engagement announcement! Congrats Alicia and Jason (and Madison and Jalyn). We are so happy for all of you! Nate was, of course, the center of attention and he couldn't have been more cute! He really racked up, too!
That evening we went to church. My parents, sister Carrie and Savannah enjoyed to service. Savannah was so good...she only belched once during the sermon--ha, ha!!

Christmas eve's tradition at Chad's Aunt and Uncles house was very special this year because of the most recent addition to the family--Brody--aka--Baby Santa! What a cutie!

Once we got home, Chad and I exchanged gifts. What a wonderful husband I have. He is so thoughtful. A new phone, neck pillow, jogging suit and a gift card--whoo, hoo! Of course, Chad loved his Bengals jacket and new binoculars.

We racked up on the DVD's too--World Trade Center, Invincible, Pirates of the Caribbean (II). I just love movie nights :-)

I know what you are thinking...they must be exhausted...yes, we are...and it's not even Christmas Day, yet!

Finally, Christmas Day!! Up early for Christmas morning breakfast at Carrie and Sean's--Yummy!! Savannah was so cute opening her presents--which do I want? The blocks, the phone, the soccer ball?? Decisions, Decisions!! And the second engagement news! Congrats Sean and Carrie. We are so happy for you both. Next, on to Chad's parents house--more presents and food. Finally, back out the OC and The Brown's for MORE food and socializing. One thing I love about the holidays is catching up with those friends we don't see often--Chrissy and Jamie, it was so good to see you and catch up! Chad and I miss you all every day!! We can't wait until June--Congrats Jamie and Tripp!

So...here it is, December 26 and we are pooped from our whirlwind of holiday celebrations! When you really think about it...the holidays can be stressful and exhausting, but I wouldn't have it ANY other way!!

By the way...we aren't finished with our family celebrations...Hoene/Wright Christmas is scheduled for next Sat. At least we have a few days to relax!!

Until next time...i hope you dance~
